In the fall of 2008, Ad 2 West Michigan took on Senior Citizens Service Co-Op (SCOOP) as their public service client. The main focus of the campaign was a re-branding of the client to Neighbors Network.

About the client:

  • Neighbors Network is a 501©(3) nonprofit organization that provides its members of senior homeowners a referral network of affordable home maintenance services in Kent County, Michigan.
  • Neighbors Network provides services to its members without regard for their current income situation.
  • Other area organizations provide similar services, but only to the financially destitute.
  • Neighbors Network completed 657 home maintenance projects last year (2007).
    • This calculates to roughly 2 projects per day.

We compile all of our work into a campaign book and submit it in the Ad 2 National Public Service Competition. Click Here to view.

2007–2008 Public Service Campaign

Godfrey Lee Public School Summer Learning Program

Godfrey Lee Public School Logo

For the 2007– 2008 club year, Ad 2 West Michigan took on Godfrey-Lee Public Schools as a client to help launch the district’s new supplemental summer semester for elementary students, the Extended Year Program.
We created a brand and communication elements for this program that are relevant, exciting, and encompassing of the main goal for this school district: to help children integrate themselves into the global culture of the future.

About the client:

  • The Godfrey — Lee Public School district (GLPS) is a small public education system located in an industrial suburb of Grand Rapids.
  • GLPS is built upon a close-knit community of Hispanic immigrants and their families.
  • The school system has helped many young people overcome language and cultural barriers to gain knowledge and become successful members of the national and global communities.

We compile all of our work into a campaign book and submit it in the Ad 2 National Public Service Competition. Click Here to view.

2006–2007 Public Service Campaign

ELO Network

Estimated Campaign Value: $673,924

Extend Learning Opportunity Logo

In 2006, Ad 2 West Michigan endeavored to help promote the goals and objectives of ELO (Expanded Learning Opportunities Network).
From the Marketing and Communications plan, to the visual execution of various elements of the varied promotional campaigns, Ad 2 West Michigan worked hard to see that it delivered a meaningful project to ELO not only for the benefit of itself and of ELO, but also for the benefit of the children of Michigan.

About the client:

  • ELO has an extensive network of community partners and after-school providers.
  • The ELO network is a coalition of community stakeholders working to ensure that every child in the Grand Rapids community has access to quality after-school programs that are well coordinated and make efficient use of Grants and Donations.
  • The ELO is recognized as a model collaborative by the Michigan after School Partnership (MASP) for:
    • Driving system-wide change in after-school programs, developing standards of quality for after school programs.
    • Building partnerships to enhance and sustain quality programming for children and youth.
