Committees

Join­ing any of the com­mit­tees of Ad 2 West Michi­gan is a great way to get involved and make your pres­ence felt. It’s excel­lent for your resume and can be really fun and reward­ing. Look below to find out more about what they do to help Ad 2 and West Michigan:

Pub­lic Service

Noth­ing feels bet­ter than giv­ing back. No funny stuff here. It’s good to give to your com­mu­nity, and there’s no harm in get­ting a lit­tle credit for it. Every year we do a pub­lic ser­vice cam­paign for a local non-profit. Then we take that cam­paign and enter it in the National Ad 2 competition.

Pub­lic Relations

You gotta get the word out some­how, some way. The Pub­lic Rela­tions com­mit­tee will use a vari­ety of tac­tics to get our name out there. We’ll talk to news­pa­pers, TV sta­tions, local big­wigs, and even national big­wigs and let them know what’s going on. Work­ing with the Cre­ative and Inter­ac­tive Com­mit­tees (and who­ever else has a bright idea), we’ll work on devel­op­ing unusual tac­tics to do this.

Mem­ber­ship

We can’t do much with­out mem­bers. That’s where the mem­ber­ship com­mit­tee comes in. We do our best to encour­age peo­ple who are inter­ested in adver­tis­ing to join Ad 2 West Michi­gan. We work with other com­mit­tees to reach out to those who might not know we even exist, and to keep those who have joined inter­ested and moti­vated to con­tinue improv­ing Ad 2 West Michigan.

Cre­ative

The cre­ative com­mit­tee, while not in sole pos­ses­sion of all cre­ativ­ity, is the cre­ative core of Ad 2 West Michi­gan. We’re pri­mar­ily respon­si­ble for the man­age­ment of the Ad 2 West Michi­gan brand. We will be the guid­ing force for the evo­lu­tion of our brand, and the exe­cu­tional arm for other com­mit­tees work­ing on Ad 2 pro­mo­tional mate­ri­als. Of course we aren’t the only cre­atives, so input from every­one is always needed. In the end, the cre­ative com­mit­tee strives to guide the Ad 2 West Michi­gan brand, keep­ing it fresh.

Events

The events com­mit­tee is respon­si­ble for plan­ning, facil­i­ta­tion and exe­cu­tion of events. Which Events? These events. They are always work­ing to put on fun social events and mind-blowing edu­ca­tional events. Social events=Fun+Networking. Educational=Fun+Networking+Learning. If you know how to plan a great time, this is the group to hang with.
