2009–2010 Board

Marquay Smith—President
Marquay is in his 4th year as a member of Ad 2 West Michigan. In the past he has also served as Membership Chair and Vice-President. When he’s not out fighting crime, he does work as a freelance Graphic Designer. An avid road-tripper, Marquay has been around most of this country(as well as abroad) and has a few great stories from his travels, ask and he just may tell you a few of them. He graduated from Ferris State University with a B.S. in Advertising and is a Polishing Center alum.

Ray Cashbaugh—Creative Chair
Ray has been a member of Ad 2 for 3 years and currently serves as the Creative Chair. He graduated from Kendall College of Art and Design of Ferris State University with a degree in Graphic Design. He is currently working as an in-house designer at Brilliance Audio (The nation’s largest independent publisher of audiobooks, located in Grand Haven, MI. Who knew?).

Andrew Rushmore—Public Service Chair
Andrew joined Ad 2 in 2008, and jumped aboard the public service campaign for the (now re-branded) Neighbors Network. In 2009 he was elected to lead the 2009–2010 public service campaign, which he co-chaired with the chair of creative, Ray Cashbaugh. The Wealthy Theatre was chosen for the clubs charity client to help launch their centennial campaign. As of this bio being published, the campaign was still in full momentum.
Andrew currently works at Steketee Greiner and Company as an Account Coordinator, working with clients such as Amway, Fulton Innovation, SAF Holland, and National Heritage Academies. His background comes from a degree in Advertising from Grand Valley State, leadership with Ad 2 West Michigan, and the Polishing Center Portfolio School of West Michigan.

Alena Krone—Membership Chair
Alena discovered Ad 2 shortly after moving to West Michigan for a marketing position. Her first experience with Ad 2 was working on the public service campaign for Neighbor’s Network (formerly SCOOP). As a member of Ad 2, she enjoys the opportunity to network with other industry professionals and be a part of a group with members who are really dedicated to what they do and are looking for a way to give back to the community. Alena graduated from Michigan State University with a degree in advertising and a specialization in public relations. She is currently the Training and Marketing Coordinator for NETech Corporation.

Emily Lautenbach—Immediate Past President
Emily Lautenbach is a retail professional who currently works as an Analyst at Meijer. She has been involved in Ad 2 West Michigan in many capacities since 2006 including events chair, public service co-chair and president. Emily has a bachelor’s degree from Michigan State in advertising and a master’s degree in communication from Grand Valley State University.
