Marquay Smith

Mar­quay Smith—President

Mar­quay is in his 4th year as a mem­ber of Ad 2 West Michi­gan. In the past he has also served as Mem­ber­ship Chair and Vice-President. When he’s not out fight­ing crime, he does work as a free­lance Graphic Designer. An avid road-tripper, Mar­quay has been around most of this country(as well as abroad) and has a few great sto­ries from his trav­els, ask and he just may tell you a few of them. He grad­u­ated from Fer­ris State Uni­ver­sity with a B.S. in Adver­tis­ing and is a Pol­ish­ing Cen­ter alum.

Ray Cashbaugh

Ray Cashbaugh—Creative Chair

Ray has been a mem­ber of Ad 2 for 3 years and cur­rently serves as the Cre­ative Chair. He grad­u­ated from Kendall Col­lege of Art and Design of Fer­ris State Uni­ver­sity with a degree in Graphic Design. He is cur­rently work­ing as an in-house designer at Bril­liance Audio (The nation’s largest inde­pen­dent pub­lisher of audio­books, located in Grand Haven, MI. Who knew?).

Andrew Rushmore

Andrew Rushmore—Public Ser­vice Chair

Andrew joined Ad 2 in 2008, and jumped aboard the pub­lic ser­vice cam­paign for the (now re-branded) Neigh­bors Net­work. In 2009 he was elected to lead the 2009–2010 pub­lic ser­vice cam­paign, which he co-chaired with the chair of cre­ative, Ray Cash­baugh. The Wealthy The­atre was cho­sen for the clubs char­ity client to help launch their cen­ten­nial cam­paign. As of this bio being pub­lished, the cam­paign was still in full momen­tum.
Andrew cur­rently works at Steke­tee Greiner and Com­pany as an Account Coor­di­na­tor, work­ing with clients such as Amway, Ful­ton Inno­va­tion, SAF Hol­land, and National Her­itage Acad­e­mies. His back­ground comes from a degree in Adver­tis­ing from Grand Val­ley State, lead­er­ship with Ad 2 West Michi­gan, and the Pol­ish­ing Cen­ter Port­fo­lio School of West Michi­gan.

Alena Krone

Alena Krone—Membership Chair

Alena dis­cov­ered Ad 2 shortly after mov­ing to West Michi­gan for a mar­ket­ing posi­tion. Her first expe­ri­ence with Ad 2 was work­ing on the pub­lic ser­vice cam­paign for Neighbor’s Net­work (for­merly SCOOP). As a mem­ber of Ad 2, she enjoys the oppor­tu­nity to net­work with other indus­try pro­fes­sion­als and be a part of a group with mem­bers who are really ded­i­cated to what they do and are look­ing for a way to give back to the com­mu­nity. Alena grad­u­ated from Michi­gan State Uni­ver­sity with a degree in adver­tis­ing and a spe­cial­iza­tion in pub­lic rela­tions. She is cur­rently the Train­ing and Mar­ket­ing Coor­di­na­tor for NETech Corporation.

Emily Lautenbach—Immediate Past President

Emily Laut­en­bach is a retail pro­fes­sional who cur­rently works as an Ana­lyst at Mei­jer. She has been involved in Ad 2 West Michi­gan in many capac­i­ties since 2006 includ­ing events chair, pub­lic ser­vice co-chair and pres­i­dent. Emily has a bachelor’s degree from Michi­gan State in adver­tis­ing and a master’s degree in com­mu­ni­ca­tion from Grand Val­ley State University.
